INTRODUCTION: For those of you who know us, Jane is from
Scotland and Paul is from the US (Ohio) the two met in London, were married in
Bilbao, and had both children in
Spain at the base hospital Torrejon (near
Madrid); the two of them have long held a deep and affectionate bond with
Spain -- it is their adopted country!! Having been a part of the Miguel Gil Mendi
family since 1970, they remain a part of that extended family through 3
generations. This October Nekane, the granddaughter of Miguel Mendi will wed
the love of her life Fernado. When the date was announced the invite extended
for Paul and Jane to please attend and to please wear your kilt, too; it was a NO
brainer, Jane said to Paul "Book'em Dan-O" the same as Hawaii 5-0 had said!! And so
we are off to our beloved Spain to meet up with old and new friends and to
witness THE wedding. As Paul researched the flights he found that by landing in
Madrid but returning via Barcelona that the tickets dropped by several hundred
dollars per ticket when the different cities were used. And so we will explore the Catalan
region after the wedding and before we return stateside. So where will we be
staying...........our agenda:
